Making Pretrial Work: Success Stories from Kentucky and Colorado

06/26/2014 06:48 PM

Over the past three years, Kentucky and Colorado have passed significant legislation promoting the use of pretrial risk assessment and expanding the role of pretrial services.   The legislation built on the success of existing pretrial services programs that had initiated the shift toward risk-based decision making and pretrial supervision.   The Pretrial Justice Institute (PJI) hosted webinars with the Administrative Office of the Courts in Kentucky and the Jefferson County Bail Project to share the story of their reform efforts and lessons learned.   Visit PJI’s website to view the webinars and related publications.
